Periodically, Genetic Alliance will alert you to important action items, announcements, and deadlines, including Genetic Alliance-specific material as well as information from the genetics, health, and advocacy communities. Some weeks there will be no emails; other weeks one or more might be sent to the list.

Partnership Building

You need partners, we’ve got contacts.

Genetic Alliance has engaged patients, communities, clinicians, researchers, and policy makers since our founding in 1986. We have been at the forefront of all of the major initiatives in genetics, genomics, citizen science, global equity, and more. We are also cofounder of the NAM Genomics Roundtable, the NAM Regenerative Medicine Forum, GA4GH, and the International Rare Disease Research Consortium. We convene, we sus out what matters, and we facilitate strategic partnerships that are measurable and impactful.

Support for Your Staff and Community

Take time to cultivate, culture, support, and growth.

We offer workshops for individuals and organizations who seek a supportive environment and renewed connection with their being, vitality, and values. We can assess how to relieve burnout, refocus, and rejuvenate your staff. We can offer support to help your members deal with suffering, grief, and loss. We can train you and your staff to use simple tools to sustain you in your mission.

Protocol Writing Support

Create effective research protocols for your next IRB submission.

Writing up a research protocol is often one of the most time-consuming and onerous parts of starting a research project. Organizing thoughts into a coherent protocol and ensuring that the components for IRB submission are present are not aspects you should worry about. Focus on coming up with a study, and let us help you refine it and write it up.

We have experience writing nearly every protocol, ranging from registry and biobank-governing protocols to biomarker and natural history study protocols. We can help you articulate all the components required for IRB submission - or even write up your protocol.

Biobanking support services

Build a successful biobank for your community.

Developing a biobank can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! Genetic Alliance has run the GA BioBank for almost 20 years, providing organizations a place to securely store their samples at an affordable price. We can help you apply best practices for collecting, organizing, and holding various sample types for research purposes.
