Program Assistant - PEER, CENA
As a program assistant, KyungSun works as part of the Biotrust Enterprise for Genetic Alliance’s innovative health technology platform, PEER (The Platform for Engaging Everyone Responsibly), and the health research network, CENA (Community Engaged Network for All). She is currently building online documentation and resources to engage individuals, families, and disease advocacy organizations to share health data, engage in research, and advance our understanding of genetic and rare diseases.
KyungSun received a B.A. from the University of Richmond with a self-designed major in Social Entrepreneurship. Prior to Genetic Alliance, she worked internationally with the Deputy Party Spokesperson for Health at the Scottish Parliament, and served as a coordinator for Virginia’s certified B Corps, a group of 22 certified for-profit businesses part of an international movement driving social and environmental impact for local communities. She is interested in the intersection of public health and social innovation, and her goal is to leverage her experiences to help grow and scale innovative healthcare programs. Beyond the office, KyungSun also enjoys going on nature hikes, singing, and trying the best local Asian restaurants.
